The Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims remembers the precious sacrifices of the Atomic Bomb Victims as a nation, prays for eternal peace, deepens the understanding of people all over the world about the devastation of the atomic bomb, and passes on the experience of the atomic bombing to future generations. It was opened in August 2002 for the purpose of doing so. Inside the building, there is a space for peace prayers and memorial services for the dead, and the panoramic view of the cityscape after the bombing as seen from the vicinity of the hypocenter “Island Hospital”. In the deceased corner, the names and deceased (photographs) of the victims of the atomic bomb will be made public, and the fact that many people died in the atomic bomb will be reported. In the experience report reading room, you can view and view materials such as the A-bomb experience report and the A-bomb testimony video. In addition, a special exhibition is held at the information exhibition corner. We will exhibit mainly the experiences of the atomic bombing on a specific theme and get a closer look at the actual situation of the atomic bombing. In addition, we also hold a reading session on the A-bomb experience and the A-bomb poetry. By listening to the reading while thinking about the scene and reading it aloud, you can feel the state of the bombing with a sense of reality. Please come in contact with the “heart” and “words” of the A-bomb survivors.
